I'm a fully qualified Chartered Architect with an accompanying technical architectural background, having worked in architecture for over 35 years.
I initially studied part time for 5 years at Technical Colleges in Barking, Southend and Chelmsford to achieve an ONC, HNC and HND in the architectural studies stream of BTEC in Building Studies. This led to qualifying as an Architectural Technologist with the British Institute are Architectural technologists. This has gained me invaluable knowledge of the technical design and construction detail required in the building of a designs I create. I incorporate this by producing sections and specifications to accompany my projects which assist the builder in avoiding construction issues arising on site.
I since went on to study part time at the University of Greenwich for a Batchelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Architecture (RIBA Part I), a Diploma with Honours in Architecture (RIBA Part II) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Architectural Studies (RIBA Part III), completing the seven years of study in 1997.
I went on to register with the Architects Registration Board (ARB registration no.062107B) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA Member registration no.090016) and achieved Chartered Architect status in January 1998.
I have worked in Private Practice as well as Local Authority before setting up as Cole Architecture in 2011.
